Part-time Sales Position
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
The sales associate is primarily responsible for assisting with the sales and operation of the museum store to ensure a great customer experience and maximum profitability.
The part-time sales associate will work approximately 20 – 25 hours a week.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work to meet monthly and yearly sales objectives
Responsible for helping to initiate and grow the e-commerce site and web sales
Responsible for incoming inventory; receiving, inputting inventory into POS system, pricing, stocking, etc.
Assist with special events such as book signings, exhibition openings, etc.
Oversee stock of store supplies such as shopping bags, jewelry boxes, posters, etc.
Assist with in-store signage such as artist bios, pricing, specials, etc.
Assist with visual merchandising
Help keep the store and stockroom neat and orderly
Attend store meetings as necessary
Assist with annual inventory
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Outstanding customer service skills
Detail oriented, a self starter, and a team player
Ability to work a flexible schedule to include weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings
Prior retail and/or e-commerce related experience required
Strong computer and technical skills with web commerce preferred
Excellent communication, verbal, and written skills
