African American Art and Artists for Grades 3–12
This tour brings to life the history of African American people in the South through the study and interpretation of art in the collection of the Morris Museum of Art. The African American experience is integrated into the lives of all Southerners and is an important part of our heritage and history. School groups registered for the tour have the option of including an in-school program to prepare them for the museum visit. The outreach component will present African American history as seen through art. Although focused on art, the tour component will include historical context.
