This installation features images from Micah Cash’s two most recent books—Waffle House Vistas (published in 2019 and expanded and republished in 2022 by the Bitter Southerner) and Dangerous Waters: A Photo Essay on the Tennessee Valley Authority (published in 2017 by the University of Tennessee Press.) 

Micah Cash uses the visual languages of landscape and architecture to explore narratives of utilization, demarcation, and ownership while investigating how land use and social history influence cultural geography.
